REDWOOD CITY, Calif.: Envision Digital today announced a major new release of its solar data analytics software suite, Ensight™ Solar 2.0.

Ensight™ Solar is designed to address the financial and operational challenges faced by solar asset owners, investors, and operators in efficiently managing the performance of complex portfolios of solar plants while doing so in a cost-effective and scalable fashion. Ensight™ Solar’s automatic data integrity verification, 15 category loss breakdown, deep-dive diagnostics, and ROI-driven corrective action recommendations, empower small teams to manage large portfolios to maximize asset performance, minimize operating costs, and more reliably meet and exceed financial targets.

Since its inaugural release one year ago, Ensight™ Solar has evolved rapidly to enable automated identification and quantification of recoverable energy. In the latest version of the software, Ensight™ Solar’s detailed loss breakdown analysis and corrective action recommendations can be harnessed directly to drive the ongoing optimization of O&M activity for solar power plants. Other key new capabilities include predictive recommendations for module washing, the ability for users to define their own service costs, an enhanced dashboard featuring top corrective action recommendations, and improvements in snow loss and tracker performance analytics algorithms.

“Building on the game-changing features and analytic capabilities that marked Ensight’s initial release a year ago, the latest enhancements to the product represent another major leap forward in the quality and sophistication of the tools that solar asset managers and operators will have at their disposal with Ensight to substantially improve financial and operational performance,” said Kam Mofid, General Manager and Head of Envision’s Global Solar Center of Excellence.

“Although Ensight can be easily added to an existing monitoring system, combining it with Envision’s solar monitoring product creates a comprehensive all-in-one monitoring and analytics platform. Furthermore, these solar solutions can be seamlessly combined with Envision’s wind monitoring and analytics offerings for clients with both solar and wind assets, allowing fleets of both asset types to be managed in a highly efficient and unified manner,” added Mofid.

In addition to the SaaS delivery model characterized by Ensight™ Solar, Envision also provides the benefits of advanced analytics via its professional services in the form of an Analytics-as-a-Service model. Tailored to the specific needs of asset owners, investors, and operators, Envision’s professional services address a variety of routine, ad-hoc, or custom performance analytics requirements, including pre- or post-acquisition technical performance assessments of as-built solar power plants and review and calibration of energy models.

Ensight™ Solar is the result of extensive research and development efforts at Envision Digital’s Global Solar Center of Excellence in Redwood City, California. Learn more about how Ensight™ Solar can transform solar asset management at http://www.ensight.io/.
