PARIS: The German spot electricity price for delivery early next week rose on Friday on the back of a forecast fall in renewable wind power generation.

The baseload German spot price for Monday delivery gained over 5 percent or 2 euros to 39.75 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) compared with the price paid on Thursday for Friday delivery.

Electricity production from German wind turbines is expected to fall on Monday by 2.1 gigawatts (GW) to 1.4 GW, according to Thomson Reuters data.
