Green Ribbon Schools Get Up Close with Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles

On July 19, 2017, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy hosted 19 award-winning Green Ribbon Schools, providing students, staff, and administrators an up-close look at some DOE technology. Participants heard from experts on topics ranging from wind energy to student competitions, including hydrogen and fuel cells.
James Kast and Vanessa Trejos, from the Fuel Cell Technologies Office, provided attendees an overview of hydrogen and fuel cells and showed off the DOE’s fuel cell electric vehicle.
