NEW DELHI : Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Monday said that if elected to power, BJP will bring in 12,000 electric buses to strengthen the capital’s public transport fleet. Replying to questions asked through a ‘Facebook Live’ session, which was allegedly seen by more than three lakh people, the BJP MP from North East Delhi also claimed that all roads in the capital will be “pothole
free” within two years of his party forming the government.

“There were 8,000 buses under DTC in 2015 but now only 3,700 buses are left and just 3,000 are actually plying on roads. AAP government had promised to bring more buses but they are only decreasing. BJP is in contact with several companies who are ready to run electric buses in Delhi,” Tiwari reportedly said in reply to a question.
Tiwari also raised the issue of failure of power supply and lack of equipment, which has resulted in LNJP Hospital deciding to shut down four of the 18 OTs. Delhi Congress alleged that AAP government was in “league with private hospitals.” No reaction was available from AAP.
