KGAL has added the “Clamecy” wind farm to its French wind farm portfolio. Clamecy has a total output of 12.3 MW and started operations in December 2013. It was sold by Wiesbaden-based ABO Invest AG and Abo Wind AG.

The Clamecy wind farm is KGAL’s tenth wind farm acquisition in France. It is located in the two municipalities of Oisy and Clamecy in Burgundy, approximately 175 km south of Paris. Six Senvion MM92 turbines generate a total output of 12.3 MW. The wind farm was acquired for a single client account focusing on renewable energy investments.

Germany and France are important wind energy markets for the KGAL Group. Michael Ebner, Speaker of the Executive Board with responsibility for the Infrastructure division at KGAL Investment Management GmbH & Co KG, explained: “We are confident that our acquisition of the Clamecy wind farm will enable us to successfully continue our growth strategy for a broadly diversified portfolio with an attractive risk-return profile in our core markets of Germany and France.”

The acquisition of the wind farm in Clamecy is KGAL’s third project with ABO Wind in France. “This transaction marks a further milestone in the business partnership between our companies. ABO Wind is a highly experienced and reliable partner with whom we hope to implement further quality, sustainable wind projects in future”, commented Matej Lednicky, Head of Transaction Management Wind at KGAL Investment Management.
