New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take up with urgency and earnest keenness the matters pertaining to International Solar Alliance and his vision of ‘One world, One Sun, One Grid’ at the G20 meet to be hosted by Argentina.

Stating this at a news conference here on Tuesday, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said at the Summit, Prime Minister Modi will make a pitch for other countries which are not between Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn to join the International Solar Alliance.

In the first assembly of the ISA in October this year, it was decided that the International Solar Alliance (ISA) membership must be open to all UN countries.

ISA is an alliance of more than 121 countries initiated by Prime Minister Modi and seeks to work for efficient exploitation of solar energy.

Mr Modi will also give a push at the G20 Summit this year at another global initiative undertaken by India recently – the Disaster Resilient Infrastructures.
