MunmuBaram secures additional Electricity Business Licenses for 1.3GW Floating Offshore Wind project in South Korea – EQ Mag Pro

Busan :MunmuBaram Co., Ltd. has secured additional two Electricity Business Licenses (EBLs) from the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy to progress its floating offshore wind project off the coast of Ulsan city, South Korea. With the first EBL obtained in November 2021, MunmuBaram now has obtained all the required EBLs to fully develop the 1.3 gigawatts (GW) floating offshore wind project in South Korea.

Following the award of the EBLs, MunmuBaram will continue to progress the floating offshore wind project development through Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), marine traffic survey, cultural heritage inspection survey and other activities. Subject to future investment decisions, MunmuBaram project will be developed in phase(s) and once constructed, expected to generate up to 4.2 terawatt-hour (TWh) of clean electricity every year.
