
Nepal’s largest ever solar power project starts in Nuwakot

KATHMANDU: Construction works of a solar project said to be the largest solar power project in the country have started at Trishuli in Nuwakot.
The 25-megawatt project funded by the government and the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is estimated to cost Rs 4 billion. The World Bank will also provide concessional loan.
The project with completion target of a year will be set up in the periphery of Devighat Hydropower Centre and will be linked to the national grid, said NEA Executive Director Kulman Ghising.
