NEW DELHI –Successfully Registers 34 MW Wind Project, Khanapur Maharashtra (GS 4707)
Orange Renewable’s 34 MW wind project, Khanapur, Maharashtra has been registered with globally acclaimed standard and certification body ‘Gold Standard ‘ for the issuance of carbon credits. It is Orange Renewable’s third project in a row to have earned the registration after a stringent selection process.
The project earned the endorsement upon successfully meeting Gold Standard’s global parameters in social welfare, sustainable development, environmental sensitivity, thereby helping Gold Standard to meet its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The project is generating significant economic and social benefits including employment and infrastructure development. The project is also estimated to reduce Green House Gas (GHG) emissions by 459,452 tCO2 within first 7 years of operation.
