Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose
Shall be responsible following activities of his/her team for Electrical portion for Tendering and Execution activities of AIS (for 400 kV & below) and Solar Substations for both AC and DC portion: Prepare various drawings like layout plan & sections, clearance diagrams, erection drawings, indoor layouts, panel arrangement drawings, etc.

Essential Responsibilities
5-8 years in design of AC switchyards up to 400KV voltage level of which at least 3years should be in Solar Power field.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) installations
Knowledge of Control & Protective Relaying and automation systems used in switchyards and MV/LV power distribution systems
Experience of working on eBOP & distribution projects would be an added advantage.
Experience of field work (erection, testing, commissioning, maintenance) of AC switchyard / switchyard equipments would be advantageous.

Diploma with 5+ yrs of relevant experience / Graduate in Electrical Engineering

Desired Characteristics
Details Design of DC and AC side of Solar Projects. Optimizing Solar Array Arrangement to optimize overall BOQ / Shadow Analysis, / Determination of Generation & Performance Capabilities (i.e. Specific Yield, PR, CUF Calculations, loss analysis & Estimates) using various Simulation software like PVSyst, Helioscope, HOMER, SolarGIS, etc., Subsequent years Energy trends & deviations from the same for PV Plants.

Identify risks & opportunities in types of projects above.
Should be able to ensure BOQ & drawings
Calculations for sizing of conductor, electro-mechanical forces, sizing of equipment (battery banks, battery chargers, auxiliary transformers, power cables), calculations for lightning protection, earth mat size, indoor & outdoor illumination
Engineering for equipment used in AC switchyards (e.g., circuit breakers, instrument transformers, insulators, switchgear, power transformers, etc.) and relay panels
Interaction with the secondary Engineering team for protective relaying and control schemes for switchyards
Education-
UG: B.Tech/B.E. – Electrical, Diploma – Electrical
PG:Any Postgraduate
