In order to promote solar energy at the residential houses, NABARD has initiated a new scheme under the flagship plan of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission Programme. Those people who install solar plates at their residence will be given subsidy up to Rs 30,000. The scheme is valid on installing 200 Watt, 250 Watt and 300 Watt solar plates.
Notably, for installing 200 Watt solar plates at residence a subsidy of Rs 20 thousand will be given whereas for the installation of 250 Watt solar plate, Rs 25 thousand will be provided to the beneficiaries. Solar plates installed at the rooftop will have warrantee for five years Notably, fans, television set, LED bulbs and other small gadgets will work on solar energy. This is one major initiative and those residential localities, where electricity connection is still a distant dream will be covered under the plan.
NABARD has recruited, SG Enterprises as its authorised agents for the purpose. Loans will be granted for five years terms. For 200 Watt scheme, Rs 54 thousand is the total amount involved and the beneficiaries need to pay Rs 13, 500 before the approval of loan. Under this plan, beneficiaries are entitled to get inverter, battery and other small gadgets.
Similarly, the other scheme which involves, Rs 63 thousand, a beneficiary need to pay Rs 15, 750 as a token amount and the bank sanctions RRs 22,250 under the proposal.Under the third scheme which involves Rs 74, 500,beneficiaries are entitled to pay Rs 18, 675 and loan of Rs 26, 025 is approved for the purpose.
