Position: Senior Procurement Engineer

Job Description Summary:
Worked as a Buyer in a HIGHLY VARIABLE Demand environment
Experience in the following domains:
Procurement & Supply chain management
Knowledge of ERP (Preferably BAAN)
Advanced Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook
Excellent written and oral communication skills MANDATORY
Good analytical skills
Conflict resolution
Reporting & MIS skills
Job Description:

Work on material shortage management, provide assistance in resolving Accounts Payable, warehouse and RTV challenges, follow-up to ensure POs are placed on time, there are no past due orders.
Ensure timely delivery of material at project sites Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics Perform Quarterly / Annual performance review of vendors Ensure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards.
Handle escalations if any, and escalate matters requiring the senior managements attention on a timely basis.
Train new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant tools or topics Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes.
Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes
Qualification:
Engineering graduate with 7+ years of experience in sourcing / global Sourcing
Should have experience working for a Solar projects / solar company
Should have experience in both domestic and global sourcing
