SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES signed two preliminary contracts for the supply of equipment for the production of CIGS thin film modules
The SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG has signed two preliminary contracts for the supply of equipment for the production of CIGS solar modules with a subsidiary of Chinese state-owned China National Building Materials (CNBM) on this day.
In two preliminary contracts today the main technical and economic parameters have been agreed, to be implemented in the coming days in six comprehensive and legally binding contracts. Their signature is also expected after the preliminary agreement made today in the coming days as part of the Chinese solar exhibition SNEC in Shanghai. The award of the contract comprises the supply of equipment for Selenization (CISARIS), cathode – sputtering (VISTARIS) and the vapor-deposition (Selenius). The SINGULUS systems are used in the new production facilities for high-performance CIGS solar modules. In particular, the Selenisierungsanlage CISARIS has already delivered several times in such factories and represents, inter alia, the centerpiece of the solar module production.
The use of the equipment should take place at two different factory locations and is in the first stage of the equipment of each factory with an application rate of approx. 150 MW serve. The total order volume for SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is in total at more than 110 million € million € and is divided in two factory sites of the company in China.
The planned final output quantity each factory is at the end of each rd. 300 MW. This objective is pursued by the customer in a downstream, second stage for each factory location.

We have discussed in detail with the customer, the preparatory work for the optimization of manufacturing processes and may provide numerous improvements again. Our design work has been completed, and we will quickly begin construction of the plant “.
Funding for the project is expected in the short term after the signing of legally binding contracts. These are still subject to the approval of the competent bodies of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES.
