PARIS: Oil major Total aims to have 100 gigawatts (GW) of gross renewable energy generation capacity by 2030, the head of the company said on Wednesday.

“In 2030 we will have invested in 100 gigawatts of gross capacities; this is the objective and it will be spread in … 30 countries around the world,” Patrick Pouyanne told an energy panel.

Pouyanne also said Total had invested close to $3bln in natural gas and renewables in 2020.
