The Energy business line of Vaisala is working to speed the adoption of wind and solar power around the world through better and more cost effective measurement technologies and information services.
We are now looking for a
Wind Energy Data Analyst
for Renewable Energy Business. The position is based in Bangalore, India.
In this role, you will take the responsibility for processing and quality control of meteorological and power generation data received by Vaisala. Your key goal is to ensure that only highest quality data is used in Vaisala assessments. You will have a chance to work in an international environment, interacting closely with our Energy team in US. For this role, we are looking for a person with excellent quantitative skills, ability to manage projects, perform against tight timelines and a team player attitude.
Your key responsibilities include:
Organize, quality controls, and processes meteorological and power generation data received by Vaisala
Serves as point of contact for Wind Assessment, format, and quality of historical data
Archives data required for Vaisala’s production processing in support of resource assessment.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
Associate´s or Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field
2-3 years of experience with Quality Control of wind met-mast and/or solar weather station data and SCADA data from Renewable Energy plants
Strong qualitative skills
Familiarity with weather data and/or other geophysical data
Knowledge of Linux/Unix
Knowledge of Bash and/or other shell programming
Knowledge of Windographer

You are a team player and understand that good collaboration and effective coordination with other professionals is essential for success
