Electric scooter manufacturer Avan Motors India today launched the all-new Trend E at an introductory price of Rs 56,900 (ex-showroom). Trend E is the most recent inclusion in the company’s Xero series of electric scooters and can be booked for an amount of Rs 1,100. The customers booking Trend E before March 31 will get the new smart electric scooter delivered before the last day of this month.

Trend E is available in a combination of colours, including red-black, black-red and white-blue. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the smart electric scooter can touch a maximum speed of 45 kmph. Trend E can cover a distance of 60 kms with single battery and 110 kms with double battery, with the charging time of the lithium-ion battery ranging from two to four hours. The suspension duties are performed by a hydraulic telescopic suspension at the front and a coil spring at the rear.

— Trend E (single-battery) – Rs 56,900
— Trend E (double-battery) – Rs 81,269

Trend E gets alloy wheels. The braking duties are performed by disc and drum brakes on the front and rear wheels, respectively. With a high ground clearance, the new smart electric scooter can carry a maximum load of 150 kgs.

“The Avan Motors team has worked extensively on creating the Trend E scooter as a vehicle that is suitable for Indian roads and meets the requirements of consumers with its combination of technology, power and futuristic design. We are delighted with the response the scooter has received in its pre-launch phase and are confident that customers too will appreciate the Trend E and all its features,” Avan Motors India Business Development Head Pankaj Tiwari said in a statement.

Founded in 2015, Avan Motors India has 33 dealerships spanning across the country’s 11 states, including Rajasthan, Punjab, West Bengal, Manipur, Assam, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Odisha. The electric scooter manufacturer has launched its Xero range of smart e-scooters and has plans in place for introducing six more scooters in 2019. Avan Motors India has a manufacturing plant, which is spread over 22,000 sq ft, at Hinjewadi in Pune.
