New Delhi: Amid the rising pollution in Delhi and elsewhere in India, the demand for electric cars has also started rising in the country. Considering the demand, we have decided to curate a list of electric cars that you can buy in 2022. From Mercedes-Benz EQS to Hyundai Kona Electric, there are 6 cars on the list to buy over fuel cars.

Mercedes-Benz EQS

The Mercedes-Benz EQS is the most expensive EV on the list, priced between 1.55 crore to 2.45 crore for the top variant. The car comes with a 107.8kwh battery that is claimed to offer a range of 526 to 580 km. The sedan car is designed to carry 5 people. The car come with 8 years of warranty on the battery.

Tata Nexon EV

Tata Nexon EV comes with a 30.2kWh battery that delivers a range of 312 km after the full charge. The fast charging allows the vehicle to get charged from 0 to 80% in just 60 minutes. The price of the car starts from Rs 13.99 lakh. The motor generates 127bhp.


MG ZS EV is the pricer than Tata Nexon EV as its price begins from Rs 2088 lakh. The car features a 44.5kWh battery which offers a range of 340km. The battery takes 6 to 8 to get fully charged in normal mode. However, the fast charging of the vehicle takes only 50 minutes to get charged. Notably, the EV comes with a 448-litre boot space.

Tata Tigor EV

Tigor EV by Tata is sold with a 21.5kWh battery capacity that can last 142km on a full charge. The EV also comes with fast charging facility, allowing the vehicle to get fully charged in just 90 minutes. The normal mode takes six hours to refill the battery. It is available for purchase introductory price of Rs 9.54 lakh.

The motor generates 40bhp and 105Nm of torque. The vehicle has 310-litre of boot space.

Hyundai Kona Electric

For Hyundai lovers, the company has launched Hyundai Kona Electric with a 39.2kWh battery pack, starting price of Rs 23.71 lakh. The EV is equipped with a 39.2kWh battery that powers the motor to 452km. The vehicle takes 57 minutes to get fully charged in fast charging mode. The normal mode takes six hours to charge the battery completely. The motor produces 395Nm of torque and 134bhp. It can reach 0 to 100kmph in just 10 seconds.

Mahindra e2oPlus

For a small family, Mahindra e2oPlus is the best electric car in the price range of 7.57lakh. The vehicle has a lithium-ion battery of 10.08kWh that allows the passenger to travel to almost 100km in full charge. One can charge the vehicle in six-hour via a standard charger as opposed to 75 minutes with a fast charger. The motor generates 70Nm of torque and 25bhp.
