The Slovenian company Riko d.o.o. has won a tender for the development of a project and the construction of a solar power station with a capacity of 10.79 / 9.35 MW in the Ukrainian city of Zhytomyr.

Ukrinform learnt this from the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Ukraine.

“The Slovenian company Riko d.o.o. won a tender for the performance of a set of works for the development of design estimates, as well as construction and installation works, for the establishment of a 10.79 / 9.35 MW solar power station in the city of Zhytomyr,” the report reads.

This is the second project the Riko d.o.o. company implements in Zhytomyr. Previously, this Slovenian company won an open tender of the World Bank and signed an agreement with the Zhytomyrvodokanal public utility company for the implementation of a project for the preparation of drinking water and the reconstruction of a pumping station of drinking water in Zhytomyr.

The establishment of a solar power plant will be held with the financial support of the Government of Slovenia. It is an important stage in the agreements between the presidents of the Republic of Slovenia and Ukraine regarding the deepening of bilateral cooperation and the introduction of effective mechanisms for state support of projects in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy and alternative energy sources.

The signing ceremony of the agreement between the Slovenian company Riko d.o.o. and the Zhytomyr public company Center for Investments will be held in Kyiv on July 30, 2018.
