Primary Job Functions:
The position requires interface and interaction with all functional departments:
Minimum of 2 years of quality-/technical experience in a PV production area; Experience in PV-Solar is preferred.
Calibration/testing/measurement experience is an added advantage.
Diploma – Electrical or Bachelor Degree in Electrical
Proven knowledge and experience in carrying out reliability and life cycle testing;
Problem solving skills;
Good MS Office skills;
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to travel with potential for international travel
Responsible for carrying out tests to establish reliability and lifespan of the products
Processing of incoming Warranty/Quality inquiries in collaboration with other Global Customer Support Services teams and other departments such as Quality;
Execution of the technical check in the warranty inspection center or at a customer site
Identification and implementation of corrective and preventative measures as well as steps for continuous quality improvement
Support Global Customer Support Field Services with field testing and site visits
Responsible for problem solving of internal quality matters of warranty related issues
Participation in the process of preparing new drafts as well as new production equipment
Responsible for effective communication and advocates team building
Observe all company health and safety guidelines
Drive continuous improvement for WIC processes to provide resolution in a timely and efficient manner
Reports to Regional Manager, Global Customer Support Services
The position has no direct reports
Up to 70% travel maybe required per year
Hybrid Physical Requirements:
Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift
Will climb stairs on an occasional basis
Will lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on an occasional basis
Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required
Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)
All associates working on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair)
