Punjab National Bank (PNB) Hyderabad office organised a workshop on financing of roof top solar power projects at their office in Lakdi-ka-pul on Wednesday.
The meeting was presided over by Rajeev Puri, DGM, Circle head in which Anand Agarwal AGM, HO Divison, New Delhi informed about the scheme for financing of grid connected rooftop PV solar power projects for commercial, industrial, MSME and profit-making institutions.
Agarwal also informed that the government has recently scaled up the budget allocated from Rs 600 crores to Rs 5,000 crore for implementation of grid connected rooftops systems over a period of five years under the National Solar Mission (NSM).
“The increased budget is expected to support the installation of 40,000 MW solar rooftop systems in the country in the next five years,” he said. Jigar Arvindbhai Bhatt project officer, Asian Development Bank and Upendra Bhatt, Managing Director, Ckinetics were also present at the meet.
