Three-Day RE Conference and Specialized Pavilions
An insightful conference themed “A Decade of Impact, A Future of Abundance” forms the core of the show. With over 50+ distinguished speakers, the conference will delve into crucial topics such as unlocking opportunities for Indian suppliers in international trade; India’s renewable supply chain and the next phase of Indian manufacturing; latest trends in innovations, technology, and services; the role of inverter companies in ESS and biogas and its economic impact. A special masterclass by CSTEP relating to ‘Solar in Buildings: Scaling Rooftop Solar & Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) through Data, Policy, Finance and Market Enablement’ is also being organised.

Tamil Nadu and Chennai: Leading South India’s Renewable Energy Revolution
Tamil Nadu has established itself as a national leader in clean energy adoption, leading India in wind power capacity with approximately 11,830 MW (accounting for nearly 23% of India’s total wind capacity) and ranking among the top solar energy producers with over 10,000 MW of installed capacity. The state’s total renewable energy installed capacity stands at approximately 25,241 MW, representing around 58.59% of its total power generation capacity.

Coimbatore, one of Tamil Nadu’s most industrialized cities, has emerged as a renewable energy adoption leader, topping the state with the highest number of rooftop solar installations—over 6,000 household connections as of October 2025—and targeting 30,000 households by March 2027 under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. The city is also a major manufacturing hub for renewable energy and is witnessing rapid adoption of solar energy by its textile, manufacturing, and industrial sectors

Informa Markets in India is proud to host RenewX 2026 for the second consecutive year in Chennai, a city that has evolved from being celebrated as the “Detroit of Asia” for its automotive dominance to successfully rebranding itself as a hub for “Round-The-Clock” energy and South India’s strategic gateway for renewable energy. Chennai is where the policy vision of New Delhi meets the industrial muscle of the South, creating an ecosystem where progressive state policies, robust manufacturing capabilities, and strategic port access converge to drive India’s renewable energy ambitions.
