India is on the fast track to shifting to clean energy in almost all spheres.

A fact that is reiterated by fresh examples of the usage of solar power in mosques and ships like INS Sarvekshak as a source of power.

Worshippers at all-women Ambar mosque in Lucknow pledged to shift to solar energy and the first solar panel was installed.

The Indian navy has always played a stellar role in its service to the nation both in times of war and peace.

It is now leading the way in the campaign for a cleaner better India, INS Sarvekshak uses solar power making it the first warship to install solar panels which is a result of the government’s immense emphasis on using cleaner energy.

18 solar panels on this ship’s hangar provides it with energy for communication and other needs.

A major challenge while installing the solar power sources were the sea conditions but these were all overcome.

Examples like the mosque in Lucknow and INS Sarvekshak prove that the dream of an India driven by green and clean energy is not so distant after all.
